Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the procedure painful?

    An injection of Lidocaine mixed with bicarb is used to numb the skin and the area where the pellet will be inserted. Most patients will feel an initial sting but do not feel anything after this other than some pressure. Patients are really surprised when I tell them it is done.

  • When will I see results?

    Many patients feel better within a few days. Four weeks after your initial pellets are inserted you will receive a phone call from our office to see how you are feeling. We expect that you will be seeing results by this time. If not you may need a boost dose.
